When I was a kid, I thought becoming a writer was about the same as becoming a famous Hollywood actress. In other words, if you weren't born perfect and didn't live in the right neighborhood or know the right people, you're screwed. Becoming a writer isn't easy, but it's not impossible if you discipline yourself and stay determined. I Did It! I Really Did It!

About a year ago, I had a wild hair bright idea. I already wrote erotic romance for women. I wanted to be able to write it for men, too. Expand as an author. Dare myself to cross my boundaries and be that much better.

It didn’t hurt that watching men kiss to me is kinda hot. Yeah, I had a gay friend tell me, “No Martha, I’m not going to make out with my boyfriend for your personal entertainment!” — Read more of this blog post »

“I know you've all heard the advice, "Show, don't tell." The best writers don't tell you, and quite frankly they don't just show you -- they make you feel it, live it, taste it, touch it. Storytelling is about being in the moment with the characters.”
