Victoria Taylor is a trauma informed speaker, author, and coach based in South London. At thirty two, she walked into Lewisham Police Station and reported what she had carried in silence for years, a moment that did not just change her past, but changed what she could no longer pretend not to see. What followed were some of the hardest years of her life, years that ultimately became the foundation for everything she has since built.

Through Victoria Taylor Speaks, her speaking, authoring, and coaching platform, Victoria delivers keynote talks, workshops, and training rooted in the Tunnel Framework® for organisations, services, and communities across the UK and internationally, giving audiences language, structure, and a genuine understanding of trauma recovery, not theory alone.

Alongside her writing, Victoria co-founded Mindset + Mastery with her business partner Stephanie Brown. Mindset + Mastery is a coaching and workplace wellbeing platform built around a gap most provision misses entirely, the overlap between trauma and chronic illness. Victoria brings her expertise in trauma, survival, and recovery, while Stephanie brings her expertise in chronic illness, together offering coaching and organisational programmes that address both rather than treating them as separate problems. Victoria works as a coach within Mindset + Mastery, delivering one to one and group coaching built around the TRIUMPH® Framework, a seven pillar methodology covering Trust Restoration, Reclamation of Power, Identity Integration, Unwavering Boundaries, Mastery of Energy, Purposeful Relationships, and Highest Aspirations.

Victoria and Stephanie also co-created TRIUMPH RECLAIM, a twenty six week, commissioner funded, trauma informed employment support programme for women whose chronic health conditions, trauma histories, or both have placed them outside the labour market, a population standard employment provision consistently fails to reach. Delivered in cohorts of twelve, the programme moves participants through seven sequential phases, Readiness, Empowerment, Capacity, Life and Career Design, Aspiration and Action, Integration, and Mastery, taking them from psychological safety through to sustained, self directed employment.

Why I wrote The Silence, the sixth book in the series

Every book in this series so far has been written for women, from The Tunnel through to The Child Before the Tunnel. But over the years, something kept coming up in conversations after talks, in messages, in quiet moments after workshops. Men would tell me their own stories of trauma, then almost always follow it with the same line, I have never told anyone this before.
