Writing Update

It’s been a stuttering start to the year, a minor injury meant I was housebound for the first few weeks of the year, you would think that would mean more writing but sadly not. In publishing news; my novel Murder on the Alpha Centauri Express is ready to go out to mainstream publishers, a long and short list has been drawn up, wish it luck. My first Children’s book Adventures with Upstairs Cat will be next to begin the long process of finding a publisher.

Writing projects for 2017 are in full swing; a comedy sci-fi adventure (novel), a channelling collection of poems and the beginnings of a screenplay. I’ve posted one poem to Youtube from the new material, more will follow.

Once again, thank you for your readership

Writing Update September 2018

Summer has gone and Autumn is here. Editing is a bit slow at the moment which is delaying several projects, but thanks to some friends we are getting there. A Landscape for Yourself (poetry) has been this year’s only publication so far, but this December More Adventures with Upstairs Cat will be available. I was hoping to have either The Deaths of Guner Zoon (comedy sci-fi) or Botolf Tales (comedy fantasy) out by Xmas, there’s still a chance that might happen but if not one will be published early in the new year.

As for writing projects on the go at the minute, I’m finishing More Adventures with Upstairs Cat, then back to work on Fyre and Stone (crime fiction), and a couple of new short stories and poems before the end of the year.
Hoping to have a flurry of publications in 2019 and approach main stream publishers with two books as well.

Once again thank you for your readership
Your reviews are most welcomed

2018

Writing Update 2018

Another year, another set of books, another million ideas (if I live to be 10,000 I could write them all).
It’s been a frustrating 2018, largely my own fault, not productive enough, not determined enough to fine a mainstream outlet for my work and distracted by silly side projects. Nevertheless I did get A Landscape for Yourself (poetry and photography) book out and Upstairs Cat Two is out this December. Next year I have a duel approach to publishing, Fyre and Stone (murder mystery) will be aimed at mainstream publishers, while The Deaths of Guner Zoon (sci-fi comedy) and Botolf Tales (comedy) will be published on Amazon.
I have no plans for a poetry book in 2019 but I do have an idea for a kids’ book (maybe for Halloween).
Also plans to use my Youtube account more and maybe do an audio book (watch this space).

I hope you continue to enjoy my work and support me in the future
Thank you for your readership

Writing Update Jan 2019

First Writing Update of 2019

Last year I spread myself a bit thin in doing too many projects and side projects at once, which resulted in me not really producing as much work for 2018 as before, hoping to rectify that this year.
I will be self-publishing two (possible three) books this year, first will be The Deaths of Guner Zoon #comedy #scifi (not for younger readers), and second the much awaited and promised 4th Botolf book, Botolf Tales. Hoping to have Guner Zoon out in paperback and eBook in early spring, watch this space.

Right now I’m working on Fyre & Stone: The Spectre Game, a murder-mystery #crimefiction set in Dublin in the late 1800’s, half way through a 1st draft, haven’t even begun the long-list of publishers to approach for this one, but soon.

Many thanks to everyone who supposed my Xmas book More Adventures with Upstairs Cat, that will be available as an eBook/Kindle very soon.

Happy reading

Steve
