I was telling stories from an early age. At some point in my childhood this was probably construed as a bad thing and labelled 'telling fibs' but I carried on with the fantasy world until I got into my teens and decided I was too old for it.

I did some of the world's most boring jobs, and a couple of interesting ones, then ended up writing for beauty magazines and getting paid to tell people how wonderful massages was. If that job hadn't come to an end, I'd probably never have needed to look for anything else.

I became a freelance writer with aspirations of writing a book in 2007, and had several ideas that didn't come to anything. In 2012 I fortuitously came upon a publishing company imprint looking for new authors at around the same time as ...more

Waterstones!

If a job's worth doing, you might as well do it yourself, and so I started pimping Viva Voluptuous out this week.

Result!

Waterstones are now stocking it in the stores as well as online and the lovely Betty Pamper is going to review it on her blog.

I have much more to do - nobody ever said this would be easy. I'm still chuffed to bits though.
