I've been writing now for over 40 years! It's been a long, enjoyable journey (with lots of hard work) and I'm not done yet! I always have ideas floating around in my head and a writing project or two going on my computer. I have published 15 books that are available on Amazon (use my full name "Sandra Julian Barker" in the search box). I'm very thankful the Lord has given me this opportunity in life and I hope that my writing continues to bless people along the way. I'd love for you to check out my blog at sandra-ramblingrose.blogspot.com.

I'm sure you've heard that before, but it's a basic necessity that aspiring writers sometimes don't follow. Plus, continue to learn HOW to write - not only in what you are saying, but also in learning grammar, spelling, punctuation, paragraphing, formatting and flow. These things may sound boring and unimportant, but a sloppy manuscript is hard to read - and hard to take seriously. So, polish your craft as you go along. Write your story and then start the polishing process. Don't be afraid to write. Get words on paper - whether anyone else ever sees those words, or not.
I wrote my first book 30 years ago and it still hasn't been published. But, it gave me the best feeling of fulfillment to have completed a book and it inspired me to know that I could do it, and to continue on that track. Today, I have 11 books available on Amazon and two more in the pipeline.
Lots of people say they're going to write a book someday. You be that person who actually does it!(less)

The book is called "More Joy in the Journey," and is formatted into a 40-day devotional. I've been working on it off and on for over two years and I'm ready to get it off my project list and onto the shelf.
The booklet is actually a small book of about 54 pages. It's called "The Way, the Truth & the Life," and it's a guide to salvation. I know there are probably a lot of guides to salvation out there, but I just felt led to add my own to the mix. We all have our own unique way of presenting things and I felt like God was leading me to write this and to get it out there as soon as possible. I believe the Rapture is drawing near and I want to share this guide with those who are near and dear to me and who are not yet saved. Plus, I want to leave this book behind in hopes that someone will read it and get saved even after the rapture. I'll tell you about my next project in another post. Thanks!(less)

This is a short book and quick read. I've given it a generous 4-star. It seemed to be a shallow book to me and pretty much - purely romance. The bit of conflict was very minimal. The handsome cowboy who is the marshal of the town went to the station ...more
