Walker Stalker Con Atlanta 2014

Hey you all!

I'm pleased to announce that I'll be a vendor and guest at Walker Stalker Con Atlanta 2014!

I'll have a full booth for merchandise and book signings, and we're working out the details on any panels or events I'll be attending.

If you live in the southeast and want to meet the cast of The Walking Dead, and meet me and get your books signed as well, please swing by the convention and say hi!

Here's a link to the show: http://www.walkerstalkercon.com/atlanta/

More show announcements coming!

HorrorHound Weekend signing

Do you live in Ohio? Or Kentucky? Or Indiana?

Would you like to attend a wonderful convention in scenic Cincinnati, and perhaps get some fresh books/discs/shirts/merch from yours truly?

Because from March 17th through the 19th, I’ll be at HorrorHound Weekend, signing and selling, shooting the poo.

In attendance with me will be Jeffrey Clare of All Things Zombie, as well as Shannon Walters, my wife, and our little spud Willow (periodically, she’s 11 months old, she has an agenda of her own).

We’ll have like, everything we’ve ever put out, and you are welcome to bring your existing stuff in so we can sign it for you.

The guest list looks fun. A bunch of The Walking Dead cast will be there, as well as a Monster Squad reunion, and Jason (Kane Hodder) plus a ton more.

Here’s a link to the event: http://www.horrorhoundweekend.com/sho...

And if you want tickets: http://www.horrorhoundweekend.com/sho...

As usual, I cannot bring unlimited quantities of product with me. As it turns out, books are heavy and big, and I’ve got a large backlog. I am only bringing 4 complete sets of AUD, so if you want one, speak up and I’ll set one aside for you.

I’m excited to hang out with folks next week!

A big thanks.

Scares That Care Charity Weekend has come to a close. Team Philbrook has made it safely back to the Granite State from Virginia, and all is well.

I'd like to start off by thanking my wife Leah Heather, and my daughter Willow. Without Leah I wouldn't be nearly as successful, or as sane, or as humble (her Troll level on me is like, 800+). She's my bedrock, and I appreciate her enabling my career more than I'll ever be able to explain to her. Willow is the best 15 month old, ever. I'm pretty sure of it. She's funny, calm, friendly, and patient, and that's far more than we could ask of any kid her age.

I'd like to thank Joe Ripple for making STC a thing. We had a great time at the show, and he and his crew are doing SUCH good things for good people. If you are looking for a show to attend or support, STC should be at or near the top of your list.

I met so many people this weekend I've been connected with on social media. That chance was a big part of why we drove 12 hours for STC. I'm gonna tag a shitload of people here, and I want all of you to know I enjoyed meeting you guys for the first time, or seeing you again.

Inevitably, I will forget someone. Don't take that as a sign of your importance. Welcome to a show you didn't go to. I haven't had breakfast yet, and I'm still recovering from the show.

A blanket thank you goes out to the people who were so sweet to Willow and my wife. 99% of the people who interacted with them were angels, and that means a lot to parents of a young kid at a big show.

David Simpson, Jeffrey Clare, Shannon Walters, Pheebz Jackson, James Wallace, M.C. Allen, Will Allen, Stephen Kozeniewski, Greg Ferrell, James Dean, Jaime Johnesee, Jack Wallen, Jay Wilburn, Armand Rosamilia, Steve Murphy, Jonathan Janz, Brian Keene, Dan Theman, Lucille Grabow Bransfield, Brent Abell, Karen Dziegiel, Joan MacLeod, Ricky Fleet, Eric A Shelman, Linda Lewis Shelman and more. You're crazy cool people.
Huge thank you to Tim Feely and Kristyn A. Varner. You're both amazing people, and Leah and I are looking forward to spending time with you again. It's so cool to connect to people you never otherwise would've, were it not for this 'writing thing' and conventions.
You both rock.

Another huge thank you to Head Stalker Jamie DeAnn. I know we've had some hard times (restraining orders and such) and some good (message me with the good, I'm drawing a blank right now) but it was stellar to see you and your sister Gwendolyn Parker again. I can't say thank you enough for all the support you've sent my way since the website was live... 7 years ago. I also can't say thank you enough for all the amazing gifts you brought for Leah, Willow and I. I'm lucky to have crossed paths with you, and I'm excited to keep my friends close as I grow old and write more books.

To all the people who bought or won books from me at my booth in Room 11... thank you. Thank you for being a reader. Thank you for coming up the stairs and seeing us on the 2nd floor. Thank you for taking the time to listen to my spiel, and laugh at my old-ass jokes. And thank you for giving all of the vendors at STC your time, and maybe some of your money.

Thanks all. Back to the grind.

NEW STUFF (sort of)

Later this month I'm going to be offering a very exclusive shot at a special edition of Dark Recollections, Adrian's Undead Diary #1. I think I'm limiting this to just 33 copies, depending on demand.

The interior formatting is updated a little bit (essentially unchanged) but the cover is switching from its previous gloss finish to a special matte finish.

Here's a link so you can see it: http://www.thechrisphilbrook.com/2018...

Why?

Because Alan MacRaffen (original cover artist, and layout and formatter) is going to custom draw zombies on each special edition I'm selling.

So you will get the special blank cover version with a unique illustration on it. Unique means it'll be a one of a kind.

I haven't set a special price yet, but I'm thinking with the illustration, shipped to you (US only please, because the postal fees are *insane*) they'll be $25 each.

Would anyone want the whole set of 8 books as a set? I'm considering setting aside a small amount to sell as exclusive sets with themed drawings on them, if this works.) I think I could do the whole set for just $160, and they're normally $100.

Why am I doing this?

A) Because it's fun and cool as hell to get a special edition of something.

B) It's a fun experiment for bringing special editions to upcoming conventions for fans and new readers alike and;

C) With the 2nd baby coming, my writing time will be cut into dramatically, and this is a good way for me to offer a new product to offset my paternity leave (unpaid, as I work for myself) and to help us float through until summer. I'm hoping to use this cash to cover us for babysitting so I can work more.

So if you're interested, please chime in and I'll start setting up a checkout on my website for it. If you want more than one, please let me know so I can gauge demand.

These will be first come, first served.

If you have questions, comments or complaints, fire away.

Oh, and I finish editing THE PHONE later today. I hope.
