I'm just seeing this question, sorry for the delay! I can't wait for you to read my book. Please let me know what you think! My other unpublished works will probably never be published, unfortunately. They need SO much work, and I don't think it would be worth it at this point. I do have another one that should be coming out this Fall, and another one I'm working on after that! Stay tuned! (less)

Favorite Books of 2017

Well, 2017. You were full of allllll kinds of surprises. At the very beginning of the year, I made a promise to myself that I would write a book and read A LOT.  I did both. More on the book I wrote later, but I have read fifty books to date, and it’s still the beginning of December. Here are some of my favorites:

Fiction that blew me away:

“We all saw it, and he did the same thing we all did - we pretended it was none of our business and that it would go away on its own. We told ourselves we were just seeing a tiny piece of Agnes's life. And if you only get a small piece of something, it's much easier to convince yourself it's better when you're not around, and then choose to ignore it.”
Roseanne Cheng, Edge the Bare Garden

“Once you know something, you can't un-know it.”
Roseanne Cheng, Edge the Bare Garden

“The small things are the fuses to get the bigger things to explode.”
Roseanne Cheng, Edge the Bare Garden

“Still, there are times I am bewildered by each mile I have traveled, each meal I have eaten, each person I have known, each room in which I have slept. As ordinary as it all appears, there are times when it is beyond my imagination.”
Jhumpa Lahiri, Interpreter of Maladies

“Sometimes I can hear my bones straining under the weight of all the lives I'm not living.”
Jonathan Safran Foer, Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close

“Why didn't I learn to treat everything like it was the last time. My greatest regret was how much I believed in the future.”
Jonathan Safran Foer, Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close

“I miss her all the time. I know in my head that she has gone. The only difference is that I am getting used to the pain. It's like discovering a great hole in the ground. To begin with, you forget it's there and keep falling in. After a while, it's still there, but you learn to walk round it.”
Rachel Joyce, The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry

“She'd become an English major for the purest and dullest of reasons: because she loved to read.”
Jeffrey Eugenides, The Marriage Plot
