How I Write
The RunawayAs an author, I’m always interested in how and why other author’s write. Even though I primarily write erotic literature (a.k.a. smut), I like to think there is some rationale behind the process.
Other authors tell me I should outline and plan out my story before writing it but that just doesn’t seem to work for me as in life, I have no idea how the story will turn out.
I’m currently reading Stephen King’s new book, Finders Keepers, and he makes a statement that perfectly describes how I write.
“A good novelist does not lead his characters, he follows them. A good novelist does not create events, he watches them happen and then writes down what he sees. A good novelist realizes he is a secretary, not God.”, Stephen King, Finders Keepers
I get an idea for a story, just something that gets me thinking about a set of characters and what they might do. Then I let those people start acting in my brain and like Stephen King, I follow along and write down what they do.
I have an idea of how the story will end up but sometimes the characters take off in a different direction and the story ends up completely different. I’ll give you an example of a story I wrote, The Runaway, which started as an actual event that I spun into a story.
Wifey and I were driving along one evening just before Christmas and we spotted a 18 year old (or thereabouts) girl standing on a corner holding up a cardboard sign for assistance. We were going to an important meeting and on a tight schedule and so I didn’t stop for her. This still bothers my conscience, as a Texan we always help those in need and she didn’t look like a common panhandler, but someone who actually needed help.
Anyway I got to thinking about the girl and what could potentially happen. Using this as a starting point I created a story line in which we picked the girl up for purely humanitarian reasons, being the nice guy I am :), but as luck would have it, she jumped right into our perverted lifestyle with both feet.
Like all my stories, I just rounded up the characters in my head and pressed Play, then stood back and watched to see what happened. The story turned out to be one which I think is pretty good.
Anyway so I guess I write like Stephen King except hopefully not as creepy as he is. LOL My stories are always HEA and no violence except sometimes when Wifey gets her crop and disciplines her slaves.
I set up a special offer for the next month to buy this one at a deep discount, just for my loyal fans. After reading it, please leave a review if only a few words.
This is the blurb on the story:
The Runaway (34,000 Words): Foxy and Larry, two swingers, pickup a stranded girl on the side of the road and take her home to try and help her just before Christmas. Initially their motives were simply to try and help her but rapidly the homeless girl becomes infatuated with the couple and their lifestyle. Their mission of mercy now turns to debauchery as they invite her into their home and family. This 34,000 word story is reasonably long for your reading pleasure.
This is an erotic romance story that is intended for mature adult audiences only and includes graphic descriptions of sex between consenting adults with straight, bisexual, and group scenes.
