The "how" of writing can be learned, but you must understand why you want to spend hours in front of a keyboard, read dry research tomes, and pass days waiting for rejections letters. If you don't figure that out, you will never be a writer. The answer to the question is as unique as each individual writer. Why do you want to write? Once you have a reason to write that will motivate you through the ups and downs of writing, you will figure out how to do the rest.(less)
