I finished the first part a few weeks ago which was inspired by Catcher in the Rye, in that, there is a unique, first-person narrative voice. To capture this voice, I researched local dialect and spent a lot of time talking to locals.

I'm now working on the second part which shifts away from the narrative voice of the protagonist to the objective voice of a third-person narrator. It's been a fun story to write.(less)

It's also the fourth book in a series I'm writing that takes place in a parallel, futuristic universe.

It isn't a novel per se. It's an interconnected series of character vignettes connected by common themes, settings, characters, and the fictional world in which they exist.

The framework of the novel is inspired by books like In Our Time.(less)

“Theism, as religious people typically hold it, does not merely state that some entity created the universe, but that the universe was created specifically with humans in mind as the most important part of creation. If we have any understanding at all of how an intelligent agent capable of creating the material universe would act if it had such an intention, we would say it would not create the huge structure we see, most of it completely irrelevant for life on Earth, with the Earth in such a seemingly random location, and with humans appearing only after a long and rather random course of evolution.”
Tim Maudlin

“Life has no remote....get up and change it yourself!”
Mark A. Cooper, Operation Einstein
