Tim Wheat is a children’s author, novelist, and musician. He has penned a number of children’s books including: The Wallery Woos, Fifty-Five Furlongs and Under the Sea, Deep Down in the Bog, and Mommy/Daddy Would you still love me if?, while his first novel, Rex Chase, continues to garner critical acclaim. Wheat’s weekly blog covers a wide range of subject matter and has seen its readership reach into the thousands. His musical career spans three bands and four full length albums with live performances in support of national acts including Zakk Wylde and Lamb of God. When not writing or creating music Tim enjoys spending time outdoors with his family. He is a married father of two energetic young boys and makes his home in East Peoria, IL.

Anyway, to answer your question, yes, I did "vomit" Ma'iitso Rises into the computer in about six weeks. It's development into Rex Chase was a longer affair, however. When I'm really humming I can put out about 3-4 pages an hour, but I'd say my average is more like 2. It kind of depends how much research in need to do. Thanks for the question and I hope I answered it to your satisfaction! Maybe I'll see you again at Chilis one of these days!(less)
