I believe in the power of showing up and practicing regularly. Sometimes a slow start turns into a great day of work, other times I call it quits for the day and turn to something else. I don't put pressure on it.

I think the idea of writer's block gives us an out before we get started. It's a reason not to try, a reason never to start, a reason not to turn up.

Writing is hard but do it anyway is what I say. The rewards, and what writing gives me personally, outweigh the effort, in my experience. If that's not your experience, maybe try something else. Life is short. ;)

Just write. Don't overthink it. Establish a regular practice and write what you can, when you can.

Don't be too harsh on yourself but do understand that writing is a skill, the more practice we get, the better our work should become.

Just fall in love with writing, without expectation. Write from the heart. (less)

No Two Battles Are the Same

You will fall many times.

You will taste defeat.

What matters is how you deal with these setbacks.  What matters is you get back up to fight another day.

In each defeat lies a lesson, waiting to be uncovered.

You must stir up your inner fire and come again, fight again.

No two battles are the same.
