Probably 2.5 stars. This book was really slow with too much time spent on fashion and construction details for the gala and not enough time spent on character development and growth. |

DNF at 8%. I wasn't finding the story interesting, probably because I'm not a huge fan of epistolary novels. They always feel too distant for my taste. I listened to this as an audiobook. ...more |

Hi Marcy - Thanks for being my GR friend!
I am moderator of a new private group here on GR, a writing group mainly. I was wondering if you could suggest any excellent fundamental craft bks that I could propose to the grp? Our first bk is Stephen King's "On Writing."
We have people writing in all types of genres, including poetry.
Also, A far as group guidelines in terms of respect for other members and using pics, not images, etc., do you have any ideas what would be a couple of other good guidelines for the group? I didn't know if you had personal experience in terms of groups.
I look forward to perusing your bookshelf. I am still adding - and will be for a while!
thanks & take care -
Monique
