Graeme Davis was born at an early age and has lived ever since.

His enduring fascination with creatures from myth and folklore can probably be blamed equally on Ray Harryhausen and Christopher Lee. He studied archaeology at the University of Durham before joining Games Workshop in 1986, where he co-wrote the acclaimed Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay game among others.

He has worked on over 40 video games, countless tabletop roleplaying game products, and a few more sensible books in the realms of history, mythology, and folklore. Most recently, he has written multiple titles for Osprey Publishing's Dark Osprey and Myths and Legends lines.

He blogs at graemedavis.wordpress.com and tweets as @GraemeJDavis. His Facebook author page is at https://www.f

An interesting question - thanks!

Of course, the city would have been different, and there would have been so many places to visit and characters to run into. I would definitely have included the Mended Drum and the Canting Crew (being a particular fan of Foul Ole Ron).

I would also have tried to build each encounter around a joke, and kept the action entirely within the city instead of adding a dungeon section at the end - unless, of course, the dungeon section became a satire on dungeon adventures!

Finally, the ending would have had more of a sting in it, becoming a reflection on the unfairness of the world in general (and of Ankh-Morpork in particular) and the inevitability of hopes and expectations being dashed. But in a funny way.

Thanks again for the question. If anyone ever puts out a call for writers for Discworld gamebooks, I'll be at the front of the line!(less)
Graeme Davis I awoke from a deep sleep, feeling more refreshed than I had in a long time. When I went to get up, my forehead hit a satin-lined lid.

GW Memories: Frankenstein

In a previous post, I mentioned the Frankenstein game that Mike Brunton and I developed at Games Workshop, and promised to say a little more about it.

As far as I know, there was no formal plan to spin off a set of boardgames themed around classic horror monsters. Fury of Dracula came with Steve Hand when he joined GW, and he also created Curse of the Mummy’s Tomb, but the visual presentation o
