Hi Teshai,

Thanks so much for your interest, and I'm sorry for the confusion. You're right about the series seeming the same. They are, except for one big difference — Grayson Brothers books are sensual editions (full love scenes in 4 of the books) whereas Second Chance Brides are sweet editions meaning no language or sex.

I've received so many letters over the years asking for sweet editions that readers can share with their teen daughters and for those readers who just prefer a clean read that I created the Second Chance Brides SWEET editions.

I hope this clears up the confusion and also answers your question of which series you should read (select based on your preference).

Peace and warmest wishes,

Hi Melissa,

Thanks for your question.

Yes, they are the same stories. The difference is, the Grayson Brothers series is the sensual edition and the Second Chance Brides series is the sweet edition, which means the sweet editions do not contain full love scenes.

First, for an explanation, since writing the Grayson Brothers series I've been asked numerous times over the years to publish sweet editions that readers can share with their teen daughters and also that sweet/inspirational/Christian readers prefer to read. So I finally created and published the sweet editions (Second Chance Brides series) early this year.

My dilemma in publishing the sweet editions was how to flag them as a different editions so readers could easily select their preferred reading (sweet or sensual) and also flag the books as the same stories for readers who may have already read my Grayson Brothers series. After lots of research and discussions with fellow authors, I decided the best way to make a clear distinction between the sensual Grayson Brothers series and the sweet Second Chance Brides series was to create new titles and covers, BUT to also note in the book summary and title page and at the beginning of chapter one that it is the sweet edition of a corresponding Grayson book.

So as you can see, there is no intent to confuse or defraud, just an author trying to please the readers she adores. For the most part, and with a few exceptions, this has worked well.

On what I hope to be a positive note, I'll be sending out a newsletter next week with pre-order links for my next NEW book in the Grayson Brothers series (there will be a sweet edition as well), which will be released on January 3rd. This is Nancy Grayson’s love story with Hal Grayson, and I'm really excited to share this story with all of you.

Thank you again for reaching out. I appreciate your support. (less)

“Done With” is now available.

Can one bold decision have the power to alter a life forever?   Characters, like Kate Weston in my new contemporary women’s fiction novel, who make bold decisions are wildly interesting. They take big risks, break rules, make impossible sacrifices, burn with passion, and fight like hell for a life of their own. Who doesn’t […]

“My memories make me angry, and sometimes, violent. Don’t risk yourself trying to rescue me from them. No one can.”
Wendy Lindstrom, Shades of Honor

“Peace has its own sound. If you listen closely, you can hear a rhythm in the silence.”
Wendy Lindstrom, Shades of Honor

“Love requires you to be patient, strong, and wise. Be faithful, share your troubles, and never lie to each other. Be kind and respectful and forgiving. And when it rains, think about this glorious sunny day when you promised to love each other.”
Wendy Lindstrom, Kissing in the Dark

“People think a soul mate is your perfect fit, and that's what everyone wants. But a true soul mate is a mirror, the person who shows you everything that is holding you back, the person who brings you to your own attention so you can change your life.

A true soul mate is probably the most important person you'll ever meet, because they tear down your walls and smack you awake. But to live with a soul mate forever? Nah. Too painful. Soul mates, they come into your life just to reveal another layer of yourself to you, and then leave.

A soul mates purpose is to shake you up, tear apart your ego a little bit, show you your obstacles and addictions, break your heart open so new light can get in, make you so desperate and out of control that you have to transform your life, then introduce you to your spiritual master...”
Elizabeth Gilbert, Eat, Pray, Love

“This is a good sign, having a broken heart. It means we have tried for something.”
Elizabeth Gilbert, Eat, Pray, Love

“We must strive to be like the moon.' An old man in Kabati repeated this sentence often... the adage served to remind people to always be on their best behavior and to be good to others. [S]he said that people complain when there is too much sun and it gets unbearably hot, and also when it rains too much or when it is cold. But, no one grumbles when the moon shines. Everyone becomes happy and appreciates the moon in their own special way. Children watch their shadows and play in its light, people gather at the square to tell stories and dance through the night. A lot of happy things happen when the moon shines. These are some of the reasons why we should want to be like the moon.”

“You accept that people are the way they are. There's nothing you can do about it, except
learn ways to minimize the damage they can do to you. It's like rain. We don't feel a need to forgive
the sky for raining on a day when we really wanted sunshine, do we? No. We might be upset and
disappointed, but the need to forgive never enters our mind.”
Julie Ortolon, Unforgettable

“Every romantic movie with a grocery shopping scene had to have a baguette sticking out of the bag. And a bundle of flowers.”
Julie Ortolon, Too Perfect
