Elsh and Wole are the two side characters that people seem to really like, and there will be more of both of them. I'm halfway through writing the sequel right now, and Elsh will be in at least a couple of chapters. There is a lot more of a riverwalker presence too, with the character of Donish (the leader of the riverwalkers who Roman and Elsh mention in Volume I) and some background info on the species.
