I’m both an avid reader as well an an author, which is why I like hanging out on Goodreads. The reader in me really enjoys combing through other people’s book reviews. I so appreciate when folks I follow or are friends with recommend new authors, or cheer me on when I begin a book they themselves loved.

The author in me is just as grateful for the community here. Whether you loved, liked, or flat-out hated one of my books—I’m just thrilled to see my stories being read; connections being made.

The books that I've written include the novel HAT TRICK; OTHER FISH IN THE SEA, (a collection of linked stories); RASH, my wildly funny memoir about running away to (and from!) Bali; and THE WIDOW ON DWYER COURT, a sexy psychological thriller that came

It was rather RASH of us to suddenly uproot our family and move across the planet/my constant worry that Loy would get dengue fever and present with a RASH. (Plus, I really liked the idea of a one-word title.) Btw: the original working title was "On Monkey Forest Road." :) (less)

The publisher runs them. People sign up, but if they don't win do they actually go out and still buy the book? I'm not so sure. Are you thinking of running one on your own? Since I don't pay, I have no idea what the cost is and so my answer will remain vague. Sorry. (less)

A Long Walk

I was thirteen years old when Stephen King's Carrie came out. I read it in its entirety in one long night, my pink bedspread tucked under my chin; Ed, my stuffed bear, clutched against my chest.

Dead in the Water by John Marrs
"This was not his best book. It is mundane to say the least. I like his writing but this one is not my favorite. It didn't read like anything original. I gave it a 3 as twists turns and a surprising true version of the actual killer at the end."
Fatal Intrusion by Jeffery Deaver
"Spellbounding

From page one this book has power packed action. A serial killer trained by a mysterious mentor, assassins, and plenty of hackers. What's really happening? You'll need to read to find out.
One of Jeffery Deaver's best.

Laura (Kyahgirl) Hi Lisa. I look forward to talking about books with you. Thanks for answering my ‘friend filtering’ question. I really do like to interact with my goodreads friends, not just collect them :-)
Cheers,
