Born and raised (mostly) in the South, Nina Stevens considers herself a good Southern woman, complete with quirks and a heated temperament. Equal parts honey and spice, she revels in the contradictions that make her life interesting. Fast cars and motorcycles, photography, homemaking, vintage finds, and all things sparkly are some of the best things in life. She’s an avid reader who believes that books are a wide open adventure waiting to be embarked on. She currently resides on the MS Gulf Coast with her husband and two doggy accomplices, where she writes poetry and runs their home while the dogs run the show. She has poems published in Cogs in Time and Dark Light Four while she continues to work on several exciting new projects. ...more

Robert W. Service
“There's a race of men that don't fit in,
A race that can't sit still;
So they break the hearts of kith and kin, And they roam the world at will.
They range the field and rove the flood,
And they climb the mountain's crest; Their's is the curse of the gypsy blood,
And they don't know how to rest.”
Robert Service

J.D. Salinger
“She wasn't doing a thing that I could see, except standing there leaning on the balcony railing, holding the universe together.”
J.D. Salinger

Roald Dahl

Terry Pratchett
“Give a man a fire and he's warm for a day, but set fire to him and he's warm for the rest of his life.”
Terry Pratchett, Jingo

Mary Oliver
“You can have the other words-chance, luck, coincidence, serendipity. I'll take grace. I don't know what it is exactly, but I'll take it. ”
Mary Oliver
