I’ve been writing since I was a kid, but it wasn’t until 2011, a year after I went on disability and my career as an airline captain was put on hold, that I had the luxury of being a full-time author and I could get started on publishing my first novel, WHEN DEATH WON'T DO (previously released as TRUST MATTERS).
The common theme in my writing, both fiction and nonfiction, is how suffering and conflict can lead to letting go, and the mindful awareness that is inner peace.
I dedicate my day to my family and my writing. I am currently working my next novel THE PARADISE SYNDROME, and my first nonfiction book, I THINK, THEREFORE I LIE.

That's a trick question. Who said I have writer's block?

I gauge my productivity by word count. Most of my writing consists of a dialogue with myself in note form. That evolves into an outline which expands into prose and eventually becomes a first draft.

I follow the same process for subsequent drafts, but with increasing emphasis on prose.

This system developed naturally for me after decades of writing, and thus far, I have not once suffered from writer's block.
