I dig philosophy, lore, fairy tales, authentic romance, and the occult. I have longed to read something that artfully combines all 5, and since I haven't found it, I decided to write a story of my own. Colorworld is the culmination of all these loves of mine, and it's my passion to make it something everyone can read and get something out of. Stories are meant to entertain, yes, but the best stories are the ones that do that AND make you question yourself. And since I hold all other literary works to this standard, it is also the standard I hold myself to when writing.
The Colorworld series is a story that opens your eyes to the beauty of that everydayness we all know so well while weaving in that wee bit of fantasy we all long for.

Aside from that, I have a notebook full of non-Colorworld ideas that I'd like to take a stab at. For example, I have a pretty well developed fantasy world that's a little steampunky, and a neat male main character to go with it, but no time to write it!(less)

How do you get inspired to write?

I literally woke up one day and thought, "I need to write a b…moreI thought I had no talents but I needed an outlet, being the mother of 4 small children. I literally woke up one day and thought, "I need to write a book." So I started writing one. I fell in love instantly. I expected writing to be a short-lived romance, but we're going on over 4 years now. The googly-eyes, and racing heart haven't left me yet. Publishing my first book back in December of 2013 was when I finally "put a ring on it," knowing that there was no turning back. I have no regrets. It just keeps getting better.(less)
