Eldonna Edwards grew up in a large family nestled between cornfields and churches in the provincial Midwest. She eventually escaped the harsh winters, moving to California where she expanded her career from journaling teacher to author to beloved writer's conference instructor and public speaker. The voice in her best-selling debut novel THIS I KNOW, comes straight from the heart and has won over the hearts of readers everywhere. In her second novel Clover Blue (June 2019) Eldonna once again explores themes of otherness and belonging, and the true definition of home.

Six years later a few of them have found their way back home. Where do pounds go when they leave your body? Do they miss us? Are they plotting a sneak attack, maybe hiding out at the donut shop just waiting for me to stop by so they can reattach to my thighs? The short answer is that I decided to write an essay about how (at that time) altruistic donors weren't accepted at most transplant facilities. While researching that paper I becme aware of the tragic organ shortage, and was inspired to become a donor myself. The longer version of this answer is here: https://exploretransplant.org/eldonna...

And of course the full version is in my book, LOST IN TRANSPLANTATION. ;) https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...
