Lev Vasilievich Tarasov (Russian: Лев Васильевич Тарасов) Was born in 1934. Graduated from the Moscow Engineering Physics Institute in 1958 with a degree in Theoretical Nuclear Physics. Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (1968), Associate Professor (1969), Professor (1983). In 1989-1992. - Head of the Department of Methods of Teaching Natural and Mathematical Cycle at the Moscow Institute for Advanced Training of Educators; in 1992-1998 - Head of the Department of Physics at the Moscow State Open Pedagogical University.
