The book consists of my recorded telephone conversations in real-time with them from 1994-2002. Many of the social ills of our country are reflected in their lives. Their lively and impassioned conversations read like a novel but are absolutely true. Boxes of statistics inserted throughout the book support the many social issues. It was a story that needed to be told.(less)
