I have stayed close to Teresa and Lisa for over 40 years, and lat…moreI was stepmother to two girls from 1972-1977, at which time I divorced their father. I have stayed close to Teresa and Lisa for over 40 years, and later their other two sisters, Tina and Cynthia came into my life. The book consists of my recorded telephone conversations in real-time with them from 1994-2002. Many of the social ills of our country are reflected in their lives. Their lively and impassioned conversations read like a novel but are absolutely true. Boxes of statistics inserted throughout the book support the many social issues. It was a story that needed to be told.(less)
