I tend to carry multiple notebooks around in case a character starts talking in my head. That's how many of the scenes come to me - as dialogue. I mostly drink tea during the working day. Coffee is a treat I reserve for special moments. To be honest if the words are flowing then I forget to eat or drink. (But I make up for it later!)(less)

Just reading 'A Good Death' and wondering why it was featured on the 'Orkney' shelf in Stromness library? It seems so far to be set in the Home Counties and I haven't yet seen any mention of Orkney.

Helen Davis Hi Mark. I think the decision was probably based on the fact that I am an Orkney resident.
