Happy May!
Well…seems like Spring has sprung and the weather has been perfect! If only it could stay that way. Unfortunately, the sweltering heat of summer will be here soon enough. Ugh. Lol Yes, I prefer cooler weather! Sue me! My theory is if it’s cold, you can always put on more clothing. When it’s hot, you can only strip down so far and then you’re still hot! Lol
So anyway, May is one of my very favorite months because it’s Spring, I love all the flowers and everything greening up, it’s Mother’s Day and I have a great mother and stepmother, but most of all, my handsome son, Raine was born on May 13.
That’s Raine and his beautiful girlfriend, Miche’le. Aren’t they just too pretty for words together? Lol I’m not biased at all…really! Enough with the bragging though…
I’ve been working very hard on Max’s book, Twice As Hard. Had to make a few changes but better now than later. The plan is to release a sneak preview in the next month or so…or whenever Leigha thinks it’s a good idea along with the BIG COVER REVEAL!!! Leigha also bought me the coolest writing gift ever to inspire me, or so she says

The Best Time of Year!
Greetings and welcome to my favorite time of year. No, it’s not because it’s finally Spring, though that is nice. It’s time for the Stanley Cup Playoffs!!!

Melting the Ice to be available on Amazon for Kindle
I just wanted to let everyone know that Melting The Ice will be available on Amazon for Kindle in the next few days. Everyone that has sworn the only thing holding them back from reading it is they have a Kindle now has no excuse. :) I have now had an excellent day all around since the Pittsburgh Penguins annihilated the Dallas Stars tonight, 5-1! Thank God! I’ll post again when the book is available. Have a great day!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
So I’m sitting here in my green, just finished eating shepherd’s pie watching the Boston Bruins. Could I be anymore Irish? Lol I have not had any green beverages today so I’m feeling let down. One hasn’t really celebrated until you have a green beverage. I guess that will have to wait until next year. In the meantime, I will go continue to work on my as of yet unnamed sequel to Melting the Ice (Max’s book) and leave you with my favorite Irishman, Cian Secord. Okay, he may not be Irish but his first name is an Irish name. Here is how I picture him

The thrill of writing
I have written since the time I was probably 10 years old and I don’t mean here and there. I’m talking thick notebooks full of handwritten stories. When I started writing Melting the Ice it was with few expectations. I started writing and then I would email chapters to my friend and editor, Leigha. Over the course or about six months we actually put together a book. That’s amazing all by itself. How many people can say they have written a book?
But the most amazing thrill was when people across the country that I don’t even know bought and read MY book! I actually wrote something that people are paying money to read! I’ve made it!

What kind of heroes do you prefer?
One would think this would be an easy question to answer; but is it? No it is not! What appeals to one woman may not appeal to another. My editor, Leigha, and I can’t even agree on what’s hot and what’s not so how could hundreds of thousands agree? She says I like my men “too dark” and “too pretty”. She’s probably right. I’m a sucker for dark hair and eyes and generally do like my men with chiseled jaws and even features. Leigha prefers her man to be either blonde or gingers. She prefers blue eyes or some variation and her idea of attractive isn’t necessarily symmetrical beauty. So who is right?
Both. Neither of us can help what we find attractive. I also prefer bad boys (as exhibited by some of my past boyfriends we won’t go into now

Welcome!!!
This is my very first blog post. I currently have no followers so I will write like I have oodles of people who care. :).
I’ve always been an avid reader. And by avid, I mean I hid in the bathroom with the door locked so I could read in peace. My poor parents probably thought I had gastrointestinal problems. Lol I would go to bed at night with a railroad lantern and read under the covers. It didn’t matter how many people were around; I could tune every one of them out when I was reading. Reading has always been like crack for me. Luckily, it was a good addiction.
In elementary I discovered a love of historical biographies, then Nancy Drew. I couldn’t get enough of her and Ned.
Welcome!!!
