ولد بنصر الله جنوب القيروان حيث زاول تعليمه الإبتدائي بمدرسة العجاجنة.. تابع تعليمه الثانوي بسيدي بوزيد حيث تحصل على شهادة الباكالوريا آداب.
تابع دراسته الجامعية بدار المعلمين بسوسة اختصاص اللغة و الآداب العربية، حيث تعرّض إلى ملاحقات و تتبع أمني، ثم محاكمة سياسية.
خرج من سنوات الهرسلة الأمنية و أيام الثورة، بأعمال روائية بدأ في نشرها على التوالي :

ملح قرطاج : في تعرية النظام البوليسي الاستبدادي و كشف ملامحه القبيحة
الفزاعة : في تحليل الهشاشة الداخلية لسلطة الاستبداد
يسقط الشاه : مقاربة روائية لانهيار الدكتاتورية المدوي، و ما يعقبه من صراع بين قوى الثورة و قوى الردة
أبناء بورقيبة : تكشف الآليات الغامضة التي حولت البورقيبية من ثورة تحرر إلى جهاز قمع
سياسة الخنازير : عمل قصصي صادم في فضح الساسة المتلونين الذين يديرون الشأن السياسي بأخلاق الحظيرة.
