Lost civilizations, the paranormal, earthy magic (not your boy-wizard's spells), and realistic action stories have always grabbed my attention. Ancient mysteries are especially fascinating to me: What happened to them? How did they do what they did?

It's a real kick for me to try to imagine what might have happened. I call this, "true mystery, fake history."

Kokopelli's Thunder is the first in series of books. In each volume, I'll re-imagine what might have happened to a particular group of people, pulling in unusual and novel elements to weave a tight, sophisticated action-adventure story. Two Cowboys, Part III

Looking perfectly pleased with himself, Naskiteh emerged from the gruesome cloud, carrying the forelegs, shoulders and head of a snack.

Hooves galloped madly away from the danger, kicking up a thick, brown fog. Hovering far above, I could just make out horns moving in all directions, eventually regrouping into four smaller bands, moving in four different directions.
