Bevan Atkinson Write. Just write. The difference between a writer and someone who wants to write is that the writer actually writes stuff. In my case I wrote in a co…moreWrite. Just write. The difference between a writer and someone who wants to write is that the writer actually writes stuff. In my case I wrote in a corporate setting for almost 30 years before I ever undertook writing fiction, and it turns out you can make a living as a writer in a business setting. As long as you know where the apostrophe goes in any given sentence, other people will come to you for your expertise, and nobody is ever going to demand that you write the Great American Novel. Find the happiness in creating well-crafted language, and if you get paid for doing that it's great. If you don't get paid, it's also great. Just write.(less)
