Cross of Christ

A tribute to Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross

We adore you, O' Christ, and we bless you, because by the Holy Cross You have redeemed the world.

Sacred Cross...
of love
of compassion
of hope
of redemption
of Salvation
of Divine Mercy
Crucified for our iniquities...
We respond...
'We adore you, O' Christ, and we bless you, because the Holy Cross You have redeemed the world.'

Cross of Christ!

Feast of St. Francis of Assisi

A man of God.
He contemplated God's creation.
In this deep reflection, St. Francis
saw the beauty and grace that surrounded him.
The beauty reflected in his writings, music, life of prayer, life of service to Christ Jesus...
In rebuilding Christ's Church, he brought reform and many to the faith.
His humility was illuminated by those who knew him.
St. Francis of Assisi brought the light of the Gospels to life.
That light brought a new friend in St. Clare of Assisi.
Her dedicating her life to Christ as His bride became her consolation to Our Lord who suffered on the Cross for our salvation.

Canticle of the Creatures
-said to be the final prayer St. Francis wrote.
Lord let me be an instrument of your peace.
where there is hatred, let me sow love.
where there is injury, pardon.
where there is doubt, faith.
where there is despair, hope.
where there is darkness, light.
where there is sadness, joy.
O' Divine Master grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled, as to console;
to be understood as to understand; to be loved , as to love.
Because it is in giving that we receive, it is in pardoning that we are pardoned, it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

We remember St. Francis of Assisi this day as an example to follow in our own walk with the Lord.

May we always have compassion for one another as St. Francis exemplified and as Christ taught us.

May we follow Christ in a manner of St. Francis with humility and love glorifying our beloved Lord.

May the blessings and graces be with you!

A Gracious King*

A gracious King.
His unconditional love, a beauty to the soul...
His suffering for the lost he came to save...
His sovereignty an eternal covering.
His right hand and holy arm has brought salvation to his beloved...

Our Song to a Gracious King...
You are our hope, unending hope.
You are our refuge, an eternal safety.
You are our consolation, a joy we love.
You are merciful, in times of trials.
You are our strength, in times of weakness.
You are our victory, when we thought all was lost...
You whisper sweet nothings of wisdom and understanding, pure gifts of your Spirit.
Your voice and word are consolations to the heart...
Your eternal love is incomparable to earthly love...

We seek your face, our Gracious King...
We seek you, our Lord and savior...
We come to you, as our first resort...
We come to you, in adoration...

Our gracious King, in heavenly enthronement...
Our gracious King, enthroned on our hearts...
Our gracious King, much loved by His people...
Our gracious King, we sing praises to you...

Frankincense, myrrh and gold to adorn our Savior King...
Thank you my gracious King, for pouring out your eternal blessings on us.
Thank you my gracious King, for your unending love...
Thank you my gracious King, for being the great YOU!
My gracious King, my BIG love to you!

In His Eyes

In His Eyes

I see myself anew.
I see myself loved.
I see myself cherished.

Blue pools that are invigorating.
Blue pools that strengthen me.
Blue pools I see in my dreams.
Blue pools of sincere compassion that
envelope my being, when I jump in.

I am in a new place now.
Peaceful and quiet sounds captivate my
senses.
Nature's song, sings in tandem to the notes of time.
Each beat is in-sync with the rhythm of life.
Our human steps only make a noise that distracts Nature's song.
Yet when we are still, the invitation beckons us to come forward to join in the music of life.

This is true living.
Living begins when we put ourselves down only to be taken up by Grace.
This journey of the golden road is essential to our humanity.

Blue pools look back at me.
Only leaving me alone with an aching want of wisdom's song.
How you keep me guessing.
Only enough to suffer my conscience and well being.
You return to me with the answers that I need to hear.
Grace made perfect, within the will of the Source.
I can only ask with the voice of my heart.
You can only answer with the voice of yours.

In His Eyes, I am made perfect.
Blessings!

A Lent To Remember

A reflection to contemplate

Walked into the desert with my little
life preserver filled with struggles, pain,
distractions, and brokenness uncertainty.

Did not realize the burden I was carrying.
Did not realize the fog I was in.
Did not realize the raw emotions, that
cocooned my pain.

Unbeknownst to me a surprise Visitor was waiting for me.
When I looked up and saw Him,
He held out His hand to me, as if saying
'come, please let me guide you.
Please trust me'.

The more I walked forward, the clearer to me
this Visitor's image became.

I recognized Him.
He was my heart's desire.
I felt relieved and dropped my life preserver.
I did not need it anymore.

Faith and hope was looking at me in the face.
What else do I need?

My sweet Visitor, is here with me in the desert.
He knows my name and as Isaiah echoed so long ago,
"I have called you with an everlasting love.
I have called you and you are mine."
Sweet songs of yesteryear seems to bring a reckoning to my heart.

So I walked hand in hand with my Visitor King.

Now He is not a Visitor anymore.
Savior is His real name.
So clear is my vision now.

A knowing flowed through my mind and heart.
He really died for me.
He really died for my redemption.
He really died so that I may live.
He really died so that I may know His love for
me.
He really died so that I may experience Him eternally.
He really died so that I may experience Him
in Holy Communion, Eucharist.

No greater love like this is so perfect.
No greater love like this is so pure.

I can never understand this, but maybe it was not made for my understanding.
It was made for me to embrace, believe, and
accept.

No life preserver filled with stuff of yesterday
to carry.
I left it all behind.

New adventure awaits me.
I have a new life preserver now and His name is Christ.

God bless you this Lent!
