At the time I was in the middle of another series - The Alaskan Skies - and so I had to decline. She contacted me the following year and I was still unable. But she came to a book-signing I was doing and we got to chatting. She told me a little about her life and I couldn't hold back the tears. I knew I had to write her story. And so we set out on the journey, putting in hundreds of hours. And finally, Where Eagles Soar was completed. It is an incredible story and an honor to be the one chosen to write it.

Here's the back cover.

Well done. I can always rely on Sarah Sundin to create an historically accurate tale and to tell a really good story. Thanks for the good read.

Abigail Mitchell Thanks for adding me!

Bonnie Hi Dawn.

I love boxers. Sadly, Emma acquired a taste for my neighbor's chickens and we had to place her with another family. Still miss her--she was precious to us.

I write historical/romance. The amount of romance varies from book to book. But there's always some. What's life without it? ;-) I write about a variety of times periods and places.

You can visit my website at www.bonnieleon.com and see all my previous books. My most recent, which will release in July is not up yet, but I'm excited about it. It's 1935 and is about a woman named Kate who loves to fly.

Have a great day.

Bonnie

Dawn Kunda Hi Bonnie,
Thanks for being my friend...I had to try to add you when I saw your boxer picture. I also have two boxers and hope to never be without one.
Your novels look interesting. What genre are you writing in? I've started a list of authors that I want to read, instead of just trying to remember their names when I'm at the book store!

Donald Parker Hi Bonnie,
Hope you've weathered the winter ok. I think I read on the AFCW NW loop that you had a pretty good dose of snow.
God bless and have a wonderful 2009!
Don

Bonnie I loved the book Hawaii. I've got to reread it. It's been a while.

Blessings,

Bonnie

Lisa Hendrix I remember sitting next to the bookshelf in the hallway one Saturday morning while my folks were asleep, struggling to read parts of Hawaii. I must have been all of 7. I was on the part about the leper colony. Terrifying. Wonderful. I knew the book was beyond me, but I also knew I would read it one day, and I did, during high school. Michener was amazing in the way he held the big picture, weaving all those individual stories into a fascinating whole. I can't think of anyone else who comes close.

Thanks for friending me. And thanks for reminding me of what was likely my first introduction to a 'grown-up' book.
