K. M. Wade is a multi-genre and freelance writer, gardener and scientist. She lives in south-eastern New South Wales, Australia (USDA zone 7) with her husband, young daughter, chickens and cavies.

K. M. Wade believes everyone:

- should be able to read and/or listen to books they enjoy
- can garden if they have the right tools and know-how (there is no such thing as a ‘brown thumb’)
- can enjoy science once they’ve discovered how useful it can be and that it’s not just for ‘geeks’ or ‘super smart’ people.
