무슨 vs 어느 vs 어떤 – Which is Which? | Korean FAQ
The words 무슨, 어느, and 어떤 can all be used to ask more information about something – “what,” “which,” and “what kind.” But there’s a bit more to it. Also these three words aren’t only used in questions – they can also be used in regular statements. But their meaning changes when they’re not used in questions. I break down their differences in this lesson.

Unspoken Korean Social Rules | Into Korean
You can learn a lot about Korean culture just by reading about it online, hearing stories from people, and through studying and practicing the Korean language. But there are a lot of social norms in Korea that aren’t widely spoken, and that are simply assumed that everyone knows. I share some of them, and bring in a couple of guests (Mallo Academy) to talk about a few others in detail.

Seoul’s fish market for LOCALS (가락시장 수산시장) with my bilingual son
There are plenty of marketplaces both indoors and outdoors to explore in Korea. But when locals need to buy lots of fish in Seoul, one of the best spots is Garak Market. It’s a GIGANTIC marketplace that sells not only fish, but produce and so much more. And it’s definitely not made for tourists – the floors are covered with water and you’ll have to do a lot of walking to get here – but it’s definitely worth stopping by for a unique fish market experience. I went together with my bilingual son to check it out, and we also ordered our lunch here and had it prepared right there.

You Live in Korea but Can’t Practice Korean? | Into Korean
I got to talk with Dave (World of Dave) about a problem I’ve heard some people express who visit Korea or who live in Korea – “I live in Korea but I can’t find opportunities to practice Korean.” First I share some of my own experiences and tips, and then I asked Dave what he felt about this and what are the ways that he was able to learn Korean while in Korea.

How to Read Korean Faster
I do a lot of Korean reading… in the dictionary, and grammar lessons. But I don’t read enough regular books (I’m trying!), so when my subscribers started asking me for tips to read faster I wasn’t sure the best books to recommend or the best methods for that.
Fortunately one of my friends is Gillian 쌤, a Korean teacher who absolutely loves reading, and also prepared several recommendations – books to read as a Korean learner to improve your reading speed, as well as practical tips for how to read Korean faster and how to study from Korean books.
