| Kiss Chase, written in 1995, is very much “90s chicklit”. Fiona Walker has been described as “the Jilly Cooper of the Cosmo generation” and you can definitely see the influence. Which, for me as a Jilly Cooper fan, is great. I did read some of Walker ...more | |

The title Why Shoot a Butler? pinpoints in four short words, just who this book will appeal to. It is clearly a crime novel, and a mystery, but to understand" Read more of this review » |

One of Enid Blyton's best series. : likely a bit dated now but what a fun read! The Secret of Killimooin shows its age/ "datedness" in regards to how Blyton depic" Read more of this review » |

“It was unwise for a woman to trust a man too far, for it was never the men who suffered the consequences.”

“Nothing, absolutely nothing, could have prepared Jemima for such a man as stood before her now. Nor her reaction to him that seemed to overtake her whole body.
He was tall and broad shouldered, with exquisitely cut clothes moulded to his athletic form. His hair was jet black with no streak of silver, though Jemima could not discern the colour of his eyes in the candlelight. His features were impossibly handsome, chiselled as though by a Greek sculptor.”

Thanks for the friendvite! Impressive to see you're an author! :DI've always aspired to be one (I've written a few things on the side as well), but med school takes up ALL my time - I haven't read a book in forever *wails*
Hello and thank you for the request. And yes i am very interested in receiving a free copy from you :-)
Noor wrote: "Hi Noël! Thanks for accepting my friend request! I really love fobidden romance books too, especially teacher student. See ya around GR :)"Thanks! And please do recommend me any good ones you've read, I love reading them as well as writing them!
Oh yes I've read "Taming the Beast" - it is extremely dark. A great read, but certainly not a cosy romance/HEA. Very fascinating and realistic though.
Actually, I haven't read any other book I've won yet, except for "The Yearning", but I've heard that Taming the Beast is pretty dark and beautifully-written
I've also read Unteachable which was a pretty fascinating read. Were there any other good student-teacher romances you would recommend from the bundle you got?
Oh, yes! Thank you, I loved the writing in that book. It was pure beauty. Too bad I basically disliked everything the MC did. The Yearning actually came to me with a bunch of other books I'd won in a contest. Author Leah Raeder did it and they all were books about teacher-student relationship, because she loved it. She wrote a book,
about that, too.
