is 87% done with A Lady Would Know Better: I have an hour and a half left and I don’t know if I can push through it. The characters are “too stupid to live”. That is the only adjective I can come up with at this point. What woman, who knows that she ended up in the mess because she was pursued by someone, would walk off with a stranger who says he’s her cousin and leave her friends and safety behind? Lazy writing. I don’t like stupid characters.
