Bronwyn Wilson currently lives in sunny Arizona with her husband Jerry and four cats (yes, four). Before writing FIVE MINUTES FOR FRANCE and her revised and updated memoir SLIDING DOWN THE MOUNTAIN IN A BASKET, Bronwyn wrote feature stories and a humorous garden column for the Woodinville Weekly in Woodinville, Washington. She’s happiest when chatting with a friend or family member in a quaint coffee shop; feeding the giraffes at the Phoenix Zoo; or writing at home in her fleecy pajamas. She's a survivor of an anxiety disorder that kept her from living a full life for 30 years. When she broke free from anxiety's control, she wrote her memoir to help others who might also be living with anxiety. ...more

I take my notebook and sit in my "thinking" chair and ask myself "what am I trying to say?" Then I begin writing to myself, knowing only I will ever see it. I just keep writing about what I'm trying to say. Usually, about five or six paragraphs down I'll see something I can begin writing about. It's like a break-through happens while writing. Also, I don't know why, but deep breaths before writing helps too.(less)

You create a world from your imagination, whether it's fiction or non-fiction. In the process, you can reach others in a way you might never reach them in person. Hopefully, that made sense. Goodbye 2025 (don’t let the door hit you on the way out)

The year 2025 began–well, I can’t recall how the year began—it now seems too long ago. Let’s just say, the year began sometime in January. I remember almost nothing about the month except two things. A sad memorial for my brother, who brought so much joy to me during his life. And a day of […]
