Fear (Bonus Article)

For an added bonus today, I have written out a short article of a deep thought I had while writing the first draft of my next novel, which will be coming out at the end of August on Amazon.com.

The title and concept of this deep thought is something we all feel, at least some of the time. Unfortunately for some people this fear is the majority mood that dwells within their lives. This essay is about that fear, and I hope you all enjoy it.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It fades in again, that creeping feeling that moves me forward towards my desires. I cannot allow myself to fall by the wayside, for there I surely won’t survive.
In life we cross boundaries small and large, that must be overcome, otherwise we end up camping out at the very wall we did not dare to climb. Broken pieces of a lost dream, blown around by the winds of life wherever it may take them. A constant cycle, of settling for what you have, instead of pursuing the goals you truly deserve. We make our own rewards, so what’s holding us all back?
Fear.
It’s the creator of doubt, and the demon that pulls us down into our solidarity, into our ‘safe place’. The unfortunate truth is that fear is all around us, and it increases with our world’s trepidations; its agonies and its faults. We all know there are many, but do they really need to override our deepest urges?
We have become a society bent on taping bubble wrap to every sharp corner, afraid that our offspring will relive the pain and fears we faced when we, were them. Those pains and fears that made us who we are, and drove to us to feeling safe, and strong enough to birth those offspring in the first place. How can we raise them to be independent, to survive, when they are never even allowed to bruise?
It doesn’t stop at the offspring, it never stops. That’s humankind’s nature. Without it we wouldn’t have developed the hand-sanitizers that kill the same germs that we need to develop a proper defense, to all those harmful viruses we’re so afraid of. Nobody seems to notice that the only real virus we are plagued with; it’s our own need to second guess everything, and over-think the tasks that once were so very simple.
You see it in the way our Governments act toward each other. They attempt to put their own version of hand-sanitizer on the land that was never theirs, only because their eyes are sending them a message that their brains cannot bear; that they’re not used to.
So who asked them to look?
Most think they may be wavering evil, and in some cases that may be the truth. Most of the time, however, they only spill more blood, and create more evil in the hearts of those they meant to rescue, more fear. Now, reading this, you may be thinking to yourself, “Isn’t money the root of all evil?”
Well, what drives us to need money?
The society we live in doesn’t allow us the basic necessities without it. It creates the fear for survival.
Money is the root of all evil, but fear is the reason we want the evil.
So where does this bring us?
To a world, wrought with never-ending, infinite, terror. We create it ourselves, we market it, we sell it, we buy it, and we love it. A parasitic species with a strange and sordid thirst to watch everything we’ve created burn to pieces.
It’s silly really, when all we need to do is set our goals high, and stop this fear from corrupting our existence. Humankind can overcome any obstacle it seems, so why can’t we make sense of the world we’ve created for ourselves? It’s so simple, yet so complex.
Simplicity, is a trait scarce in this advanced age, but it is the trait we need the most. Without it, the stress of a complex and fast paced existence will eventually break human kind as we know it.
Fear, is the gravity that bounds that stress to us. One day, I hope human-kind will be able to fly away from that stricture and with the relief, a new beginning may be born. One where simplicity is not just a word but a virtue, and where fear has become nothing more then an emotion we can just move pass.
Normality
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Normality

Normality. The explained social code the human race tries to base its’ core values on. Yet the word is a contradiction in itself. Its’ definition is to conform or reduce to a regular standard pattern. However that pattern is constantly changing and thus normal is never actually normal itself as it never stays the same. It changes as the people who run the puppet show of the world tell it to. It’s the politicians, and the religious leaders; the banks, the corporations and even the ever-climbing inflation rate. They are the masters of the show that we call modern society.

Even though they have control of what we perceive as normal, what has control of them is something that is constantly sporadic. That something is our universe; all the unique creatures in it, and their diversity. The universe around us is anything but what we consider to be normal.

Unique is the opposing definition of what is usual, and it is the true motor to what drives our existence. What is odd, weird, unique or different is infinite, as it never ceases to exist. What is normal constantly changes and so it constantly ceases to exist then is reborn; completely changed.

The concept of normality is awful unique don’t you think?

As humans we believe we have to have control, which is the root for why this word came into existence and became so widely used to explain events.

“Oh that’s not normal, how could you do that?”

“Oh that’s cool man, that’s normal”

That’s become the social attitude, and it’s been that way for whole sea of reasons. It’s to explain the unexplainable, to put a name to a face, to set a quota, to compare, to buy, to sell, to progress, to create, and most of all, it is to control.

However even with all these factors and reasons for the word; normality is still a basic sugar pill. It’s just a fantasy believed to bring people comfort, security and perceived knowledge. All humans have the need for control. It isn’t just the greedy leaders but also your average Joe six-pack that needs the empty medication. Without it he would not be able to get up, go to work, make money, and give back the money to the greedy leaders. He would be lost with no one to tell him how to dress or act, or be ‘normal’. The average Joe of our modern world has lost his independence.

Normality is a term we used to ‘prove’ we are the superior power and that all else that is not normal is below us. Yet when you take a step back and look at the bigger picture inside the universe; we are tiny parasites who feed on each other and the planet we live on. We are no more than sophisticated Neanderthals who have a potential but waste it on our own selfish desires.

If we could rid ourselves of the restraints of normal and dare to do the different and unique, we could help the world change for the better. We could change the rapid moving pattern and have a common control, without limiting the potential of the society. Normality is a world to be taken lightly and the unique is the fuel to a society that is always changing, always evolving and always aspiring to move forward.

Let’s change the world and do something unique, and break the ties of normality.
After all when something is based on a lie, doesn’t it always fall down?

At least that’s a moral the society we belong to teaches us, isn’t it?

A Poets Heartache

First poem I've written in years!

Comment, like and be sure to let me know what you think! :)

He cannot find the chosen word,
Inside the heart, now massacred,
Endless screams rings out inside,
The brittle ties that burn his mind,
A flame so deep it can’t be seen,
Its beauty had once been serene,
Now it’s pushed away with agony,
Until the next time it finds harmony,
Forgotten love left behind in tears,
Will apathy overtake his fears?
Lost forever inside the darkest shell,
In this place he will always dwell,
The broken poet has lost the war,
The one that rages inside his core,
Can he defeat the shadows within?
Or will they erupt with his every sin?
They say that life can always change,
To some that thought is deranged,
To change is let go of thee,
And to move on is to be set free,
From the binds that fuel animosity,
And allows one to feel the sun,
And the warmth of being with someone,
To face the challenges life throws out,
Together we will win each bout,
Until that day a poet must rest,
For a heart faintly beats within his chest.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So now I take my leave dear reader,
And I hope you enjoyed this little teaser,
You can find my books online you see,
Though poetry is not my usual glee,
I tend to diversify from time to time,
And when I do…
I rhyme sublime.
Random Thought Of The Day: Passion
Passion.
This is a word that is tossed around quite a bit. Everyone wants to have a passion. Everyone wants to have something they’re talented at, fascinated with; fulfilled by. Passion is a beautiful thing. It can get you out of bed on a cold day, and it can push you to move forward, even when it seems like everything in the world is trying to block your path.
Passion can come in many shapes, or forms, but when it comes it always comes with the same, intense tug that pulls you along. It can be an interest in plants, animals, space; the ocean, sports. It can be almost anything, but sometimes it is confused for family. Family is love, and that is a completely different emotion from passion, although it feels just as wonderful.
So what is passion? Well…
It’s that drive to write when no one is reading.
It’s the will to play when no one is listening.
It’s the ambition to act when no one is watching.
It’s the sublimity of fulfillment, even when you’re the only one celebrating.
It’s the strength to stand back up, learn, adapt, and improve.
It’s the determination to never give up in what you believe in.
The sad thing is, not everyone has a passion. People have lots of things they like to do; the things that stimulate those little dopamine receptors in the brain. People try to claim that as passion, but talk to some of them, and how much are they willing to give for them? The answer is often despairing.
Interests, hobbies, good jobs…Those are all great things, but they’re not passion.
Find something that really gets you going and you’ll know what I mean. It’s often just one, and once you find it, everything else seems like a partial interest.
Passion will push you further, and create something much richer than a high paying job; more intoxicating than all the beer or drugs in the world; and more relieving than a three day weekend.
When you’re passionate about something, everyday that you do it is like a weekend anyways.
Random thought of the day and I hope everyone enjoyed it.
