Inspiration’s for amateurs.” Which I think is just a curt way of saying, “Sit down in the chair and put words to page.” In other words, don’t wait for inspiration. Sit down and write and let the words inspire you—not the other way around. That all being said, great works of art can inspire me, as well as great acts of selflessness and courage.(less)
