Thank you for your comment and I hope, when you get round to reading the biography, that you feel it does him justice! I felt that though people know about the kindertransport, it was important to document his whole life and to explore his humanitarian motivations. It was an amazing experience for me to research his family history and early life and he commented that I knew more about his life now than he does!

Dear Graciela
Great to hear from you! I really hope you enjoy the book, do give me some feedback if you can. A Spanish version would be fantastic, as I often get emails about my father from people in South America, who have seen a film or read something about him, wanting to know more.
Best wishes,

Hay Festival fun

My next highlight after launching the biography was to attend Hay Literary Festival and talk about it on stage with some amazing people: Simon Schama, Alan Yentob and Philippe Sands. There was a great atmosphere and some very interesting questions from the audience. It was lovely to talk to people after and expand the conversation, as well as sign lots of books for a wonderfully appreciative crowd Read more of this blog post »
