Winter, Book 2 eBook release & Book Reviews

Hi Everyone,
I hope you're all happy and healthy.

Well, winter is upon us once again, for those of us in the Southern Hemisphere that is, Australia in my case. I'm actually happy to don my winter woolies as I've had three Summer's in a row now and was getting a little sick of the heat, okay, I was getting very sick of the heat, although where I live in Australia it doesn't get really cold. I live near Byron Bay so the winter months are quite mild.

It's funny, we have a wood burning heater inside our home, and love having the fire burning in cold weather, only the weather doesn't seem to want to co-operate with us and get really, really cold ... so sad. My husband often says "that's it we're moving to Tasmania, where it get's cold." Yes, a little extreme, I know, but hey he's used to chilly weather having lived in Greece where it snows in winter.

So to satisfy our bizarre need for an excuse to light a fire, we open all the windows and doors in our house until it is positively freezing, or as freezing as it can get given the area we live in, then we light up our beautiful wood heater, there is nothing more sublime than watching and listening to the pop of logs burning; the flames seem to have a magical quality. Have you ever just sat and watched a fire and imagined shapes of creatures forming within the flames, it's a bit like watching clouds and seeing what animals and objects they resemble.

I'm feeling a little melancholy this month, though, this time, last year we were holidaying in Greece, Hmmm... I wish I had access to Doc's Time traveling DeLorean from Back to the Future, don't you just wish you could step into your favorite movie or book and have a little fun, like taking Doc's DaLorean for a joyride, life would be extraordinary, to say the least. One can but dream hey, or curl up and read a good book, a great many books.

Keeper of the Key (Seraphympire #2) by Renee Spyrou
Seraphympire ~ Keeper of the Key

Speaking of books, Seraphympire ~ Keeper of the Key is now available as an eBook on Amazon for those who are interested in grabbing yourself a copy, pleeeeeeaaaasssssse grab a copy, you won't be disappointed. For those of you who already have copies of my books and have actually read them and liked them please rate and review them. I can't stress enough how important a rating and review are to we author's, because not only do we know what our readers think of our hard work, but the feedback is invaluable and always welcomed. A lot of sweat and tears goes into writing a book, believe me, a lot of tears are shed by the end of writing a book and publishing it. Reviews really do help with a book's visibility on the net. I'm after genuine review's though, a review should come from someone that has read the entire book, not two chapters. Okay enough said about reviews.

Anyway, I think I've said enough for one day, have a fabulous day, week and month.

Cheers
Renee.

My News & planned Book Signing Events for 2017

Hi all, It’s been a very long while since I blogged, my only excuse, I’ve been super busy working. I should say Juggling all my jobs and writing Book 3. Seraphympire ~ The Edge of Apocalypse and working on its cover-art. Which I hope to have published by the end of the year.

Firstly, I hope everyone had a Fabulous Christmas and New Years and 2017 is going spectacularly so far. I’ve had a few hiccups, but nothing that hasn’t stopped me from doing my job. I sliced off half my thumb print a month ago using a compressor blade whilst cutting Velcro. A stupid, stupid accident, me being a perfectionist again. It all could have been avoided if I'd used the scissors to cut the remaining half centimetre left on the velcro, but hey, we live to learn. It’s been a real learning curve. You should try to sew without the use of your left thumb, hilarious, NO... not really.

It’s amazing what you can accomplish when you need to. Oh, and getting dressed, well, I’ll leave it up to your imaginations, a contortionist comes to mind when I think about it, let’s just say it’s been interesting – frustratingly so. I’ve been giving everyone the thumbs up lately, hey, what can I say, I have a warped sense of humour. Quite funny under the circumstances when you think about it. Especially with the abnormally large bandaged thumb, I’ve been sporting. I can't count how many times I did the thumbs up whilst my thumb was bandaged. Too many times to count. The eye roll I kept getting from my teenage daughter was very entertaining. "It's getting old mum!" She said on numerous occasions.

I have been busy organising book signings for 2017. Coming up next month I have the Gold Coast Supanova Pop Culture Expo on April 21st – 23rd & the Melbourne Supernova on April the 28th –30th the following week. If you like unique Supernatural, Paranormal, Fantasy books, with action aplenty, drop by & say hi and perhaps buy a personally signed copy of my awesome books. (I'm not modest at all am I?) I love chatting with new people, my husband and daughter can’t shut me up, what can I say I work alone so I’m starved for conversation.

Another event I’m really excited about is the Riveting Reads event in Brisbane at the end of the year held on the 21st – 22nd October. It will be my first-time book signing at this event and I have to say I’m really looking forward to. Thanks, G.R. Thomas for telling me about this Event. The money raised by this event goes to the Make-a-Wish foundation and the Starlight foundation, two foundations close to my heart. My son was lucky enough to have had his wish come true by the Make-a-Wish foundation. They are both worthy causes that help sick kids. If you love books and meeting the people who write them get behind this amazing event & support sick kids by buying tickets to Riveting Reads. See Website Link Below.

I have also applied for the Sydney, Melbourne & Brisbane, Oz Comic Con events this year, fingers crossed my applications are accepted. I’ll keep you posted.

That’s all my news for now if you want to check out my books Seraphympire ~ Guardians of the Gateways Book One & Seraphympire ~ Keeper of the Key Book Two, you can find both books on Amazon. To find out what other people are saying about my books just go to my Goodreads page and you’ll find my book reviews there. I'm currently running a Goodreads giveaway for Books One & Two so try your luck you may win.

For those of you who have left ratings and reviews for my books, a thousand thanks. I truly appreciate it. If you have yet to leave a rating & review, please do, I love to know what you think of all my hard work. It doesn’t have to be a long review one line is enough.

Anyway, that's all for now have a fabulous week.
