Winter, Book 2 eBook release & Book Reviews
Hi Everyone,
I hope you're all happy and healthy.
Well, winter is upon us once again, for those of us in the Southern Hemisphere that is, Australia in my case. I'm actually happy to don my winter woolies as I've had three Summer's in a row now and was getting a little sick of the heat, okay, I was getting very sick of the heat, although where I live in Australia it doesn't get really cold. I live near Byron Bay so the winter months are quite mild.
It's funny, we have a wood burning heater inside our home, and love having the fire burning in cold weather, only the weather doesn't seem to want to co-operate with us and get really, really cold ... so sad. My husband often says "that's it we're moving to Tasmania, where it get's cold." Yes, a little extreme, I know, but hey he's used to chilly weather having lived in Greece where it snows in winter.
So to satisfy our bizarre need for an excuse to light a fire, we open all the windows and doors in our house until it is positively freezing, or as freezing as it can get given the area we live in, then we light up our beautiful wood heater, there is nothing more sublime than watching and listening to the pop of logs burning; the flames seem to have a magical quality. Have you ever just sat and watched a fire and imagined shapes of creatures forming within the flames, it's a bit like watching clouds and seeing what animals and objects they resemble.
I'm feeling a little melancholy this month, though, this time, last year we were holidaying in Greece, Hmmm... I wish I had access to Doc's Time traveling DeLorean from Back to the Future, don't you just wish you could step into your favorite movie or book and have a little fun, like taking Doc's DaLorean for a joyride, life would be extraordinary, to say the least. One can but dream hey, or curl up and read a good book, a great many books.
Seraphympire ~ Keeper of the Key
Speaking of books, Seraphympire ~ Keeper of the Key is now available as an eBook on Amazon for those who are interested in grabbing yourself a copy, pleeeeeeaaaasssssse grab a copy, you won't be disappointed. For those of you who already have copies of my books and have actually read them and liked them please rate and review them. I can't stress enough how important a rating and review are to we author's, because not only do we know what our readers think of our hard work, but the feedback is invaluable and always welcomed. A lot of sweat and tears goes into writing a book, believe me, a lot of tears are shed by the end of writing a book and publishing it. Reviews really do help with a book's visibility on the net. I'm after genuine review's though, a review should come from someone that has read the entire book, not two chapters. Okay enough said about reviews.
Anyway, I think I've said enough for one day, have a fabulous day, week and month.
Cheers
Renee.
