Erin L. Schneider is native to the Pacific Northwest, attended college in Honolulu, and - although Hawaiian - should never be allowed on a surfboard. With more than twenty years in corporate merchandising, she’s now a full-time writer living in Seattle with her husband, Neal; their two boys, Kellan and Kasen; a rowdy German shepherd named Ronin; and two crazy cats, Ono and Poke. She’s a member of both the Pacific Northwest Writers Association and SCBWI, and is also co-founder of the YA Buccaneers.

SUMMER OF SLOANE is her debut novel, out May 3, 2016 from Disney-Hyperion. Visit Erin online at Erin L Schneider or on Twitter: @ErinLSchneider1.

I wouldn't mind exploring Luce's story...or even Mia or Maile -- or to totally try something new, writing from Penn's POV (a male MC is something I've never done before, so who knows?).
And as for Mick and Slo...well, I'm not sure it's entirely up to Mick -- Sloane has some things to think about as well. And I often ask the question: if you were in the same situation, would ever forgive a friend that committed this type of ultimate betrayal? Would it not make you consider what friendship really means? I would think both of those things play a huge factor in how things might turn out...but of course, every situation is different, so you never know?
Thanks so much for all the wonderful questions!!!!(less)

Cover Reveal: SUMMER OF SLOANE

Last week, the ever lovely Jen over on Pop! Goes The Reader, graciously hosted my cover reveal for SUMMER OF SLOANE, along with a fun interview and a giveaway too.

It was surreal to finally see my book have a cover, let alone share it with the rest of the world -- but I couldn't be more excited!

And in case you missed it, here she is!

I couldn't be happier with how well Tyler - the cover

“On three. Ready?"
Closing my eyes I take a deep breath as he squeezes my hand in time to his counting.
I open my eyes on the third
and final squeeze.
And then we jump”
Erin L. Schneider, Summer of Sloane

“Hawaii is who I am now.”
Erin L. Schneider, Summer of Sloane

“We walk along the beach access path until it opens up onto pristine golden sand and nothing but thousands of miles of turquoise unfolds in front of us. It's hard to tell where the blue
of the ocean stops and the same brilliant hue of the sky begins.”
Erin L. Schneider, Summer of Sloane

“Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
Steve Jobs
