Having been a voracious reader I stopped reading one day, disappointed in how the last several authors ended their stories. I made a promise to myself that I would never read another book until I published one with a killer ending. My debut novella, November Seed, is a page-turner and lives up to that promise. I could now see, but the scope of it made me vomit, finding myself in a viscous soup of blood and the empty skins of other humans like wet sweaters clinging to me and beyond the walls of my bubble there were others and others beyond those until the string disappeared into the murk. But I am greatful he pointed that out to correct it.... As a first attempt at writing, I just wanted to get something out there to understand the process of self-publishing... there are lots of mistakes in that story being the author, editor, promoter, agent and distributor.... but I love what I’m doing....

I am currently working on a full length novel called Silversides..... which is/has been kicking my butt for about 4 years now. I love the characters and storyline but I made the fatal rookie author mistake of leaving the planet... because I have to invent everything... that’s why all aliens come to earth to kick our asses... so the authors do not need to invent anything.....

In the mean time, I have written several shorts that I hope to compile into an anthology (these can be found on wattpad). I don’t know if you read “From Europa With Love” (free on Amazon) but I have dragged the protagonist. (Kulcin Black) into Silversides as the antagonist... why? I don’t know and maybe why it is such a challenge. Thanks again.(less)

“Crime Is Down” – Or Have We Just Closed our Beaches?

As a writer of Science Fiction, I share the blame with my fellow writers for stories written about a dystopian future, but the idea of writing science fiction is fueled by what we feel the future holds.

We keep hearing that crime statistics are down–much better than they were in the 1950s, that kids are “statistically safer” than ever. But let’s put this into perspective:

In the 1950s, kids walked t
