“...[M]ortals are strange when people die. The more we hated or loved someone, the more we want to remember them. .... When people die, especially in a shocking, violent, or unexpected way, they tend to forgive, or at least forget, what angered them. It’s a blessing of Persephone. She doesn’t like it when people talk ill of the dead, being Queen of the Underworld and everything. It is also why we bring flowers for the dead. ”

“One more dance along the razor's edge finished. Almost dead yesterday, maybe dead tomorrow, but alive, gloriously alive, today.”
― Lord of Chaos

“Better than honor and glory, and History's iron pen, was the thought of duty done and the love of his fellow-men.”

“Sitting in front of my fireplace, basking in it's warm glow gives me time to reflect upon the sacrifices that it has taken for me to enjoy the security of a good home, in a safe environment. I can hear the soft whisper of the snow as it caresses my window and covers the ground outside in a scintillating display of sparkling lights under the full moon. How many times have our service men and women watched this same scene from a foxhole, or camped in some remote part of the world. Thankful for the silence of that moment, knowing it won’t last long. Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus. He/she dresses in fatigues and patrols the world restlessly, ensuring that we can have this peaceful night. Every day they give us the gift of this lifestyle that we enjoy, and every night they watch over us. They are warriors, angels, guardians, friends, brothers, fathers, mothers, sisters and brothers, forming a family that stretches back to the beginning of the country. So tonight when you go to bed say a prayer that God watch over those who watch over us, and thank them for their sacrifices, on and off the battlefield. Pray that they have a peaceful night, and will be home soon with their families who also share their burden. Without them we would not have this moment.”

“The soldier is the Army. No army is better than its soldiers. The Soldier is also a citizen. In fact, the highest obligation and privilege of citizenship is that of bearing arms for one’s country”

Sequel titled: My Lost Arthur. My Lost Arthur takes place just a few weeks after the close of My Lady Olives, with Olisbeth and Arthur safely (?) in Greece. Everything goes fine, until someone (cough Hermes cough) throws Arthur a divine Bachelor party, causing him to go missing.
And time is ticking for Olisbeth to find him...
Prologue available now:

So... I think I've settled on a title for the Sequel to My Lady Olives. I'll make a further announcement when it's official.
Little bit of a change. Instead of pre-releasing chapter 7, I'm pre-releasing Chapter 5. Chapter 5 shows Arthur and Olisbeth in one of their last moments of "normal life" before the adventure of the story sweeps them off into the great beyond.
