Allen G. Bagby is an American author of fantasy fiction and an experienced blogger. Blood & Soul is the first book in the Creed of Kings Saga. It hit #1 several times and stayed for five and a half months on Amazon's Top 100 in various related genres. It can be read alone. He independently published Blood & Soul in mid-2014. His favorite and most influential authors are David Gemmell, J. R. R. Tolkien, Bernard Cornwell, Terry Goodkind, and C. S. Lewis. He is also influenced by movies such as Star Wars, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Gladiator, and the Lord of the Rings trilogy. He's currently writing the next book in the Creed of Kings Saga. And, the dying fizzle is due to a weakness in the story. I circle back and look for places to amp things up either with action or dialog or intrigue or all of those things. Sometimes it's too many characters stealing the steam. Sometimes you need to add a sidekick. The main thing is blocks usually stem from a weak story. (less)
