It should also be clean, without explicit content that might be a stumbling block for someone in their walk with God. When I write, I try to show through my characters the problems and struggles we all have. My writing tends to have overall themes that are present in every day life, and I try to illustrate with words the struggles that normal people have. My characters are not perfect. But I hope to show in every book I write the hope, joy and redemption that come from believing.(less)

As in, more than a decade. And I honestly think it came down to fear. For little writer's bumps in the road, I write to get around a block. I try to come up with silly rhymes to entertain the kids. I choose a word I love (because I have a not-so-secret love affair with words) and build a sentence around it. I ask myself, "And then?" if my character was written into a corner. I take a shower. For some reason, most of my ideas happen in the shower. (less)

Brooke Thank you so much for becoming my friend! I absolutely adore my book with the note and book mark and the lovely uplifting scripture you chose to sign it with! I have been looking forward to getting mercy springs for awhile now even more since I found out I won! I'm so honored I did win!
