Robert White is an Amazon best selling crime fiction author.
His first two published novels DIRTY and THE FIX have sold over ten thousand copies and have appeared in the top ten downloaded novels in genre.
Robert is an ex cop, who captures the brutality of northern British streets in his work. He combines believable characters, slick plots and vivid dialogue to immerse the reader in his fast paced story-lines.
He was born in Leeds, England, the illegitimate son of a jazz musician and a factory girl.
He hated school, leaving at age sixteen.
He joined Lancashire Constabulary in 1980 and served for fifteen years, his specialism being Tactical Firearms.

Try to work out how your favourite authors have kept your interest, made you laugh, made you cry, made your heart race.
Also, you must write, even if you think your work is poor, don't give up, keep going.
Ask someone you trust, to read your work and give you encouragement. You can always look to your local college. Most will run adult creative writing courses in the evenings. These are great for meeting like-minded souls and refining your craft.

SIX is my newest work. It is the second book in the Detective Ewan Striker series. The first book, UNREST was published in July and has received excellent reviews. I love Striker's character and find him easy to write.
THE FIRE is the sequel to THE FIX and will conclude the adventures of Rick Fuller, Des Cogan and Lauren North.
I have had so many requests to write this sequel, but I struggle with it and the pace has been painfully slow. I'm 40,000 words in now and hope to finish it by the new year.(less)

Road Trip to Greece Anyone?

As I write, it is 1548hrs on the 20th July 2015, a tad over 37 degrees in the shade and a million percent humidity. I sit in a beautiful walled garden in the Italian town of Pescara.

Flash the dog is struggling with the heat. I personally am sitting firmly in the shade and making a brave attempt at fighting off sun stroke with bottles of Dreher beer, a snip at 1.89 Euro per 0.5ltr from the supermar
