Caroline loves where she lives in a pretty market town, steeped in history and character, on the western edge of Dartmoor. Situated not far from the river Tamar, the border between Devon and Cornwall, there is easy access to the whole of the southwest peninsula. The beautiful beaches and pretty coastal villages, the rugged, wild beauty of the moorlands, together with the local myths and legends, fire her imagination.

Caroline has always loved to write, and dreamed that one day she would write and publish stories. She began by having a few short stories accepted and included in anthologies published by Alfie Dog Fiction. Now she’s achieved her goal by publishing her debut novel, A Charming Bequest. A heart wrenching story Caroline has linked a modern family trying to overcome a heart breaking loss together, while helping an unreconciled loss in the past. A good story.

A gripping read I live in the southwest peninsula and I’m fully aware of the amazing rescues the RNLI do. This story covers some unusual events they have to deal with, as well as a very different backstory.
