I've always been a reader, though my favorites have changed over the years. I read a lot of mysteries these days, then urban fantasy, and non-fiction. I'm enjoying learning about history. Every now and then I pick up a scifi, and even more rarely a romance.

The transition to writing was a natural thing, I suppose. Sometimes I wonder why it took so long, then I remember how chaotic life can be. Books take us out of ourselves, saves us from boredom and more, and stimulates the mind. I can't imagine a life without them.

Now that I'm haunting the PNW, there's nothing like a good trail, a good book, and nice cup of tea. Here's to keeping us all afloat.

My Girl got a Facelift

My first book, Girl Found, has a new cover. Without further ado, here it is. Audio version is in the works, and a side story, Wendy, (or Legacy of Mara #1.5 if you desire) is in the final stages. Wendy is not part of the core trilogy, but a standalone romance happening within the same world build.

So, here's to new looks!

This book stands out for me, almost like the author is hitting their stride. Maybe it's because Rutledge only works one case. No distractions. Maybe this was just a really well written story. The only thing I didn't care for is that the author ti

I don't know about this one. The personal subplot was terrible. A theater phobia? And the resolution was terrible. The middle part really unnecessary. Then there was the main murder plot, which wasn't bad until the resolution landed, leaving one to w ...more

I absorb these. I thought I'd gotten used to the double story thing, but this time it annoyed me to dip back in time into Hawthorne's past. I'm not sure I want to know his past, but I'm sure this is a scab we'll keep picking at.
