I've always been a reader, though my favorites have changed over the years. I read a lot of mysteries these days, then urban fantasy, and non-fiction. I'm enjoying learning about history. Every now and then I pick up a scifi, and even more rarely a romance.

The transition to writing was a natural thing, I suppose. Sometimes I wonder why it took so long, then I remember how chaotic life can be. Books take us out of ourselves, saves us from boredom and more, and stimulates the mind. I can't imagine a life without them.

Now that I'm haunting the PNW, there's nothing like a good trail, a good book, and nice cup of tea. Here's to keeping us all afloat.

My Girl got a Facelift

My first book, Girl Found, has a new cover. Without further ado, here it is. Audio version is in the works, and a side story, Wendy, (or Legacy of Mara #1.5 if you desire) is in the final stages. Wendy is not part of the core trilogy, but a standalone romance happening within the same world build.

So, here's to new looks!

As I've said before, I don't try to figure out the mystery as I read. I read and let things fall into place. Every now and then a guess comes to me. Usually it's wrong. I did find myself trying to guess whodunnit on this one and I was wrong again, lo ...more

This one went places I didn't expect. Not sure why because it's one of those tales as old as time. Grafton doesn't go deep. We don't get a lot of details as the story progresses and then it all comes together for Kinsey, but in a way we don't necessa ...more

I'm still taken aback by the abrupt ending. I think I'm missing the softer landing at the conclusion that normally comes with a story. Maybe it's how closely we are with the investigator, so we already know the solution by the time the end is upon us ...more

Yes, I really am just getting around to reading Grafton.
Did this book really just end the way it did? I mean, that was quite the cliff the story just dropped off of. We barely get an epilogue.
Am I going to continue reading the series? Yes, I am. B
