Ian Strang is an independent writer and artist. He lives in Los Angeles, California with his wife Cheryl, his daughter Violet and many houseplants. THE GRAND SCHEME OF THINGS is his first published novel. He graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Communications from California State University Long Beach, which to this day no one has ever asked to see. Ian works in the film industry as a lighting technician and rigging electrician. He also wrote a sequel to The Grand Scheme of Things entitled THE INFINITE BLUE YONDER. A have a giant book of Soduku puzzles that sometimes helps but I usually end up watching COPS which, for some reason, is always on. I know that this is something everyone experiences and can be extremely frustrating. I've learned, however, that as bad as it can get it always comes back somehow. I simply explain that I'm working out some character dialogue and not reliving an argument that I had with some kid in junior high.(less)
