Candy J. Moon grew up in Saltburn-by-the-Sea and Stratford-upon-Avon. She began writing The Magic Rainbow Stone in 1999, after buying a fluorite dolphin which gave her the idea for her crystal characters. It was finally finished and published a whole fifteen years later in 2014. The next two books in the series swiftly followed. Candy's latest work is Stars and Hearts - the first book in the lighthearted Stage Door series. Candy writes, illustrates, and is sole carer for her dementia-stricken mum. ...more

I alr…moreWay back in 1999, my son and I bought a beautiful dolphin made of fluorite stone. Within hours, the idea for 'The Magic Rainbow Stone' was born. I already had some idea what my crystal folk -Sapphire, Amethyst, Emerald and Citrine - looked like. I spent the next few years perfecting my writing skills and jotting down exciting ideas for the story. In 2014 I finally polished and published the book!(less)
